In all of the topics described so far in this FAQ series, we have looked at adding Fields, Keys, and Relations from the default Quick View display. This is the default display in view as you open any dictionary.

However, there is an alternate way to perform the same actions that were described in the previous topics. You can add Columns, Keys, Relations, Aliases, and Triggers by using the Entity Browser.

The Entity Browser becomes the active display any time you double-click on any table in the DCT Explorer. There are two advantages of using the Entity Browser over the Quick View:

The Entity Browser is the ONLY way to add a new Trigger to an active table.

Adding in the Entity Browser is recursive. Currently, adding in the Quick View is “single shot”.
