The standard Windows behavior for an entry control is free-form entry. To override this behavior, you must add the MASK attribute to the WINDOW.
In the Window Designer:
1.Make sure the Window is selected.
2.Choose Edit 
Properties ( or press ENTER).
3.The Window Properties dialog appears.
4.On the Extra tab, check the Entry Patterns box.
5.Press the OK button.
6.For each entry control in the window, add a Picture token to the Picture field of the Entry Properties dialog.
