If the IDE cannot locate a file needed for code generation, compilation or linking, you'll receive an error message displayed in the Errors pad (and the Output pad). You can **"trace"** the folders where the redirection system searched for the file.

To trace the redirection system, from the main menu choose **File->Open File using Redirection File**, enter the name of the file, and then press the **Trace button**.  The dialog displays a listing of each folder searched,and based on the results you can either copy the file into the correct location, or edit the redirection file to add a new folder that should be searched.
