**This template (and its associated code templates) has been deprecated, and is now replaced by the [[tplcontrolrtf.htm|RTF Text Control]] template.**

The ShowRTFFormatBar code template is used to simply either Hide or Unhide the default format bar. This template calls the ShowFormatBar method. A TRUE value is passed to the method to Unhide the format bar. A FALSE value is passed to the ShowFormatBar method to Hide the format bar.

**ShowFormatBar( **//ShowStatus //**)**

**oRTF_RTFTextBox.ShowFormatBar( 1 ) !Unhide format bar**

**oRTF_RTFTextBox.ShowFormatBar( 0 ) !Hide format bar**

**Associated RTF control**

Select the RTF control from the drop-down list. All controls on the Window are included in the list. This field in required.

**Show Format Bar?**

Check this box to make the format bar visible (Unhide). If the box is cleared, the format bar will be hidden at runtime.
