Navigation:  Glossary Index >====== many-to-one relationship ============ A connection between two data entities in which there may exist many corresponding values in the foreign key in one database file or table, to only one value in the primary key of another “look-up” table. The relationship implicitly describes the direction of the relation. For example, the relation of cities to states implies many cities may belong to the same state. Also called a child-parent relation. ====== Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page
